What I Would Do If My Parents Left

Literature 4 – Little Women Essay 4

This week in Little Women by Louisa May Alcott, I read about how Beth tried to run the house while her aunt left for the holidays. I am going to be discussing what I would do if  my parents left for the holidays.

The first thing I would do is to start taking cooking lessons. Every day I would be buying food and water. I would be cooking Jack, my little brother, his food and would make a rule: never wake Colt up at 3:00 in the morning.  I would be teaching Jack and myself, and I would quickly become a man.

I would act like Beth and be responsible. I would be smart, responsible, good, and careful with what I do and most of all, be nice to Jack. Beth might be over-thinking it, but she was successful  and came out on top. I think I would be okay and would take care of my little brother, Jack. I would be going around cooking or washing or taking care of Jack. Teaching Jack would be my most important job. Jack would help me do all these things I talked about here.

I would teach Jack how to cook. From then on, we would cook, make concoctions,  and have fun with it. All these things are going to happen at some point in time, so I thought I would plan before it did. Beth had a hard time with complete responsibility.
